Online Voting for the Grevenbroich Founders’ Award 2025 Has Started
The online voting for the inaugural Grevenbroich Founders’ Award 2025 has officially begun. With this new award, the city aims to promote innovative business ideas, strengthen young companies, and further invigorate the entrepreneurial climate in the region.
Eligible participants were founders and young companies based in Grevenbroich whose market entry took place no more than three years ago. Interested parties were able to apply easily via an online form provided by the city until mid-September.
This year, eight innovative companies from the fields of gastronomy, retail, sustainability, energy, coaching, and digital innovation are competing. All of them have impressed with courage, creativity, and entrepreneurial commitment, and are already enriching life in Grevenbroich today.
“We are very pleased with the great interest. A total of ten applications were received, of which eight met the formal criteria and are now participating in the competition,” reports business promoter Heinrich Thiel, who is overseeing the project for GFWS Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtmarketing Grevenbroich mbH. Participants include Tobias Schmitz of Limitlessmedia, Svetlana Schaarmann-Tröger of Gedankenreich Coaching, Robin Bersch of Baumgesund, Henning Eßer of Ladeluchs, Patrick Kreide of Kre-Idee, David Koch of Brandlöscher Mobile Cocktailbar, Anna-Lena Klug of Café Ape Klug, and Rebecca Sieber together with Anja Winzheim of Bambini.
The evaluation of the submitted business concepts takes place on two levels: a panel of experts assesses the content according to qualitative criteria, while citizens can also take part in an open online vote. The public voting contributes 40 percent to the overall score.
Until December 17, 2025, citizens can cast their votes via the city’s participation portal. “Every vote counts – and for the young companies this is a great opportunity to present their ideas to a broad audience,” emphasizes Thiel.
The Founders’ Award carries prize money of 1,000 euros. Funding comes from the city as well as support from sponsors such as Sparkasse Neuss.
