Commercial premises and retail
With the end of lignite-fired power generation by the mining company RWE Power AG, over 250 ha of commercial and industrial land will be available for subsequent use in the medium term.
This availability of space is a significant locational advantage of Grevenbroich compared to other cities that have little or no available space for commercial development. The GFWS has developed a list of criteria for the allocation of land that takes economic, ecological and social criteria into account. Existing companies benefit from the consideration of regional integration in the evaluation criteria.
New relocations in Grevenbroich are supported in particular by companies in the digital economy and industrial manufacturing companies. The expansion of existing companies is also supported.
The “Elsbachtal Industrial Park” intermunicipal industrial area is currently being developed with a size of approx. 42 ha. Together with the landowner, RWE Power AG and the town of Jüchen, application coaching is offered to interested companies.
In addition to entire business parks, GFWS also markets individual plots of land or properties owned by the city and supports owners of land in the Grevenbroich urban area free of charge in finding suitable tenants or buyers for their land or commercial properties. If you are interested, please contact the GFWS.
