Work and education

Demographic changes and advancing digitalization are significantly transforming the German labour market. The coal phase-out in the Rhenish mining region means that qualified specialists will need to seek employment in new industrial sectors.

Looking ahead, the digital economy will play an increasingly important role in Grevenbroich, shaping the local employment landscape. The ongoing shift toward digitalization is creating new career opportunities and future-oriented jobs. Many workers now face the challenge of adapting to these new requirements. However, with targeted training and qualification programs, these changes can be seen as opportunities—strengthening the labour market with well-trained specialists.

GFWS Services

GFWS organizes information and exchange formats in order to network the various stakeholders in Grevenbroich, e.g. as part of the structural change conference and regular network meetings.

GFWS develops concepts to secure young talent and skilled workers in Grevenbroich. To this end, GFWS is working on the objective to implement an education campus in Grevenbroich and thus strengthen an innovative educational landscape. This is done, for example, at trade fairs and events at local, regional and national level. GFWS also increases visibility through targeted media work and an informative website.

Regular events, such as the training session in April 2025 and the job fair in September 2025, provide opportunities to explore exciting career prospects and build valuable connections.
