Make job profiles come alive
On April 8, 2025, the “Jobvision Grevenbroich 2025” training fair provided companies from the Grevenbroich region with an attractive platform to engage young people and introduce them to various job profiles.
Nearly 500 students from grades 9 to 12 took the opportunity to connect with companies at the marketplace. They had the chance to speak directly with trainees from the participating organizations or to try out small activities and tasks typical of different professions. This approach helped bring abstract job descriptions to life, making them more tangible and understandable for the young visitors.
The career fair was held as part of the school project days at Wilhelm-von-Humboldt Comprehensive School and aimed to inform young people about apprenticeships, study programs, or dual study options. The event was organized by Wilhelm-von-Humboldt-Gesamtschule in collaboration with GFWS Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtmarketing Grevenbroich mbH. This year's fair was a pilot project with the goal of expanding it to other schools in the future. The market square downtown was chosen as the venue to ensure independence from individual schools, provide easy access for as many interested participants as possible, and simultaneously revitalize the town center.
Participating companies included: Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Kreisverband Grevenbroich e.V., Elektrotechnik Rudolph e.K., Evangelische Stiftung Hephata, Gebrüder Peiffer GmbH & Co. KG, Geisler Steuerberatung, GFWS - Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsförderung und Stadtmarketing Grevenbroich mbH, Gloria Fahrzeugbau Bierewirtz GmbH & Co. KG, IHK Ausbildungs-GmbH, Intersnack Deutschland SE, Lidl, Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court - Justiz.NRW, Spedition Kleine GmbH, Speira GmbH, Grevenbroich City Council, and the town’s fire brigade.
