heimat shoppen

This year, the GFWS is supporting retailers in the city area with the “heimat shoppen” campaign. The campaign will take place on the second weekend in September 2025, but can be used all year round.

The “heimat shoppen” campaign of the chambers of industry and commerce raises awareness of the relevance of local retailers, restaurants and service providers. Heimat shoppen helps to strengthen the city center not only as a place to shop but also as a place to meet. Regional stores offer variety, quality and personality and every local purchase secures jobs and strengthens the local economy.

To support this, the GFWS has requested 1,000 “heimat shoppen” bags from the IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein. Retailers from the entire city area can contact the GFWS to pick them up. Distribution is limited to 50 bags per store.
