ISG wants to promote four projects for the city center
After a phase of brainstorming, the ISG (Interessens- und Standortgemeinschaft) is now focusing on four projects for implementation this year: the Culture Night, the “50 Years of Grevenbroich” anniversary, the Advent showcase with nativity scene exhibition and the “City Influencer” project.
At various meetings in spring 2025, the ISG participants discussed various project ideas for revitalizing the town centre. After reviewing the ideas, they agreed on four projects to be realized this year: the Culture Night, the “50 Years of Grevenbroich” anniversary, the Advent showcase with nativity scene exhibition and the “City Influencer” project. Special working groups were formed to plan and implement the individual projects.

Background on ISG
Communities of interest and location communities are a good way to become active together and have proven their worth in many places in North Rhine-Westphalia. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia supports local authorities with a grant to set up communities of interest. The GFWS is responsible for the project and has engaged Thomas Wiedenhöfer, owner of the RESTART Kommunikation agency, to strengthen the inner-city dialog and work together to make the inner city even more attractive.
We want to do something - together with you!In 2024, the Interessens- und Standortgemeinschaft (ISG) for Grevenbroich's city center was launched following three successful meetings. Tenants and various stakeholders from the city center came together to jointly develop the potential of the location and actively shape its future. Work will continue on this basis in 2025, a comprehensive action plan will be developed and the first measures will be implemented. Three working groups are currently active and will implement concrete ideas this year. The dialog and the establishment of the ISG will continue beyond 2025.
